Please read the following carefully before placing your order. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms listed here as well as our Shipping Policy/Agreement.

PACKAGING

Eggs can be packaged two ways: in foam shippers or bubble wrap. It’s completely up to you, we package to the best of our ability either way you decide.

🚫 ORDER AVAILABILITY & SHIPPING TIMELINE

We accept pre-orders to reserve your place in line on a first come, first served basis. Once your order is ready to ship, we will contact you directly. We try to keep our product as updated as possibly to when it is available.

We do not provide specific shipping dates, only general shipping windows.

Please understand that we are not a hatchery, but a small homestead operation. All hatching eggs are produced by hand-selected birds.

🐣 HATCH RATES & EGG COLOR DISCLAIMER

There are NO guarantees on:

  • Hatchability

  • Fertility Rate

  • Development

  • Egg color outcomes

All eggs are collected fresh, and fertility is regularly monitored, but hatching eggs are a risk by nature, and success rates can vary depending on incubation methods and postal handling. Please purchase with that understanding.

BROKEN EGGS

All eggs leave our farm intact. If any are broken due to USPS or UPS transit, we are not responsible for refunding or replacing them. Each package has insurance on it, so we ask you to submit a claim directly through USPS.

❌ CANCELLATIONS & REFUND POLICY

Cancellations are strongly discouraged. They are an administrative burden and result in missed opportunities for other customers waiting for seasonal availability.

While we do allow cancellations as a courtesy, please understand: 

  • Credit Card processing fees are non-refundable, as the transaction was completed at the time of purchase and the credit card company keeps those fees. Refunds will incur a 3.5% restocking fee to cover the fees incurred through the credit card companies.

  • Canceled orders will not be welcomed back. If you cancel do not place future orders with Farmstead Provisions.

  • If a future order is desired, we can issue a promo or gift card instead of a refund.

We value respectful communication. Customers who are rude or disrespectful will have their order canceled and refunded (minus the non-refundable processing fee). Good communication ensures a positive experience for everyone. 

πŸ“¦ SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY

All hatching eggs are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (1–3 days per their website) or UPS Ground (3 days) with $100 insurance included. We package them to the best of our ability. Please be aware of the following:

  • USPS does not guarantee delivery timeframes for Priority Mail

  • Only Express Mail is eligible for guaranteed delivery or claim protection for delays

  • Once a package leaves our possession, we are no longer responsible for transit delays, damages, or handling errors

  • It is your responsibility to communicate with your local post office about your package

  • We will not contact USPS on your behalf

If your package is damaged:

  • Take clear photos of the box, contents, and packaging immediately

  • File a claim with USPS online

  • Keep in mind, USPS insurance only covers physical damage, not delays

Please read about our birds and farming methods on our About Us page and each product description. We do not vaccinate our birds, and they are raised using natural, holistic, and regenerative care practices.

By placing your order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have read and accept these Terms & Conditions

  • You accept the risk involved in purchasing hatching eggs

  • You have reviewed our Shipping Policy and understand USPS limitations

Phew! Thanks for reading all of these disclaimers. We want you to be happy with our products, but also some things are far out of our control. We make sure every dozen we ship out is carefully packaged, what you ordered and sent with love!
